Play! By Sephora, November 2016

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I know everyone’s been saying this but – where did the time go?! It flew by way too quickly and it’s already Christmas before we know it.

Anyway, so I received my November Play! Box right before we take off for the long weekend, which is perfect! I can see that I will be actually using some of the products in this box and they are good for short road trips.

This month’s box came with:

Cover FX Illuminating Primer, Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet, Laura Mericer Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Rose Gold, Sephora Collection Ultra Shine Lip Gel in Pin Up Pink, Maison Margiela ‘Replica’ By The Fireplace, and GlamGlow GravityMud Firming Treatment.

My favorite in this box that I already know I would enjoy is the GlamGlow GravityMud; I already have a full size at home that I use once a week. It’s once of those peel off masks that you peel off after 20-30min; it has definitely toned my skin after just a few uses.

img_8311Another product that I already know I would like is the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick because I used them before and I enjoyed using them a lot; it’s nice to have a deluxe size to keep in my purse and Rose Gold is my favorite shade.lm

One of the product that I haven’t tried but I would want to try out is the Cover FX Illuminating Primer; although, the one that I really want is the green one, but this is a good one to test out the texture of their primers.

The Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet was also on my list to try out; I have been looking for a moisturizing cream in a tube as part of my skincare routine because I try to avoid any skincare that’s in a jar. Will need to see if this sorbet provides enough hydration as it claims; I will report back on this shortly!

Now, I don’t care for this Sephora Collection Ultra Shine Lip Gel too much; I have a full size. I used it once and never picked it up again. Perhaps I am not a lip gloss person to begin with; this particular formula seems a bit too greasy for me.  It does give you a ton of shine though; hence, if you are a big fan of shine lips then you might love this.

Lastly, we have the sample size perfume which I don’t care for. Here is the close-up of the Replica By The Fireplace.

Alright! That’s this month’s Play! Box. Hope you enjoy this post! Until next time, please take care and have a safe and awesome Thanksgiving weekend with your friends and family! Image result for corgi smile

Play! by Sephora, September 2016

Good morning lovelies! It’s been crazy for me at work the past few weeks; the only thing that relaxes me is to play with makeup and skincare lol (what’s new?). Well, this month’s Play! by Sephora box has raised the bar up a little bit.play-sept

First item is the Dr. Jart+ Water Drop Hydrating Moisturizer. I like how it is in a decent size, enough to test out for a good amount of time; it will really help when it comes to skincare products.  It’s a water based moisturizer that gives boost and hydration to the skin; it has my favorite ingredient in it, which is Hyaluronic Acid.

Second item is the Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Night Cap Overnight Perfector. While I love most of the Living Proof products, I am not a fan of putting products in my hair and leave overnight. You’re supposed to apply this to your hair before bed, leave on overnight then shampoo it off in the morning. It’s a good size though, I am sure someone from my family would like to have it.

Third item is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Gel. It’s a clear brow gel that sets and define your brow and keeps brows in place. I am already using this product so I am very pleased to have a backup.

Fourth item is the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper. It’s a well known waterproof brush-tip liquid liner. I love these, great to have a travel size to bring with me next time I go on vacation.

img_7576Fifth one is the Sephora Collection Rouge Shine Lipstick in Love Spell. The color is beautiful and it’s the shade that I would purchase myself. However, I find this is a little too tiny; being it’s a Sephora product inside a Sephora subscription box, I would appreciate more if they can throw in a full size for every now and then.

Lastly, the bonus fragrance sample that it comes with every month, which I don’t really care for. I just don’t find myself using these samples, I usually gather them in a big batch then give them out to friends and family. This month is the Tory Burch Jolie Fleur Verte. Note: Lily, mandarin, neroli oil, and jasmine.

Overall, it’s a great box as I will be using 4 out of 6 products in this box. How do you like yours? 🙂

Play! by Sephora, May 2016

I started subscribing to Play! by Sephora in May 2016; it’s a monthly beauty box subscription service that costs $10 per month. It comes with five deluxe-sized samples and one fragrance bonus sample; a one-on-one tutorial session at your local Sephora and 50 bonus points with any purchase in store.

I used to be subscribed to many beauty boxes (Glossy Box, Birch Box, Ipsy, and Allure); I ended up canceling them all because of the choice of selections and poor customer services (especially Allure, I tried contacting them with an issue 4 times with no response). So far, I am pleased with Play! At least I can purchase the products at my local stores and they are most likely be well known brands, or are the products I would love to use on myself.

In May, my box came with:

OriginsMaskimizer™ Skin-Optimizing Mask Primer

Bite BeautyAmuse Bouche Lipstick in Kimchi

BriogeoDon’t Despair, Repair!™ Deep Conditioning Mask

KORRESWild Rose + Vitamin C Advanced Brightening Sleeping Facial

tarteTarteist™ Lip Crayon in Latergram

Atelier CologneOrange Sanguine Cologne Absolue Pure Perfume

Sorry for the late post, I didn’t have a chance to post them; I promise I will post them on-time right when  I receive them from now one! Though, I still need to post the ones from June to August after this. Image result for cute face emoji
